remember this little teaser?? well here is the finished product! i have a friend that makes really cute babies. she is about to have #2, so i thought her daughter might like a little something to commemorate becoming a big sister! this is the biggest thing i've ever knit and i am pretty happy with how it turned out.
i definitely still have a long way to go on knitting with a consistent tension, but i am definitely getting better!

this is the first garment i've made that required extensive seaming... OMG that takes forever! i didn't mind it too much, except for the armpits - those are tricky! the first one i did (on the left in the above picture) didn't turn out too good, but i think i figured out the right technique on the other side.
i love the eyelet yoke and seed stitch border... i just wish my eyelets were a little more consistent...
i heart this button... it is a vintage one i picked up a long time ago and i think it worked perfectly on this little sweater
come back tomorrow and i'll share what i sent along with the cardi...

I can't even believe you made that!!!! We LOVE IT and are so grateful!
I just saw this on ravelry today and left you a comment, I LOVE IT. That button, that color totally perfect!! Have you tried knitting with berroco comfort? that stuff is really nice too.
Beautifully done. I would try and steal it for myself if it was just a touch bigger.
For knitting parts together, check this out, it helped me a lot: http://mochimochiland.com/weblog/2008/03/mattress-stitch-tutorial-for-toys/
Great work by the way, I love the eyelet design! And don't pay attention to any imperfections-that's the most beautiful part about handmade things!
Oh my goodness. That is precious! I really should learn how to do that for Miss Elsie when she gets here!!
